Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. The result was the state government imposing more stringent guidelines in these cases.
